• To provide and maintain a central organization for the promotion of efficiency, progress and general development among persons engaged in valuation/ Assessment work, whether members of the Association or not, both for their own advantages and for rendering the conduct of their business more effective, safe, creative, scientific and high ethical standards of the members and all those involved in valuation and assessment/ adjusting work.
  • To promote personal and friendly relationship between members of the Association; to hold conferences, seminars, meetings and public fora for the discussion of professional affairs, interest and duties.
  • To exercise professional supervision and control over members of the Association to safeguard their interest, welfare and other rights; to further their advancement, and to promote whatever may lead to the improvement of the status of the Association officials in particular and the members of the Association in general,
  • To act as means of communication between members and bewveen the public and the industrial sector
  • When funds allow to assist members in need and the widows / widowers and children of the deceased members, and to act as treasurers and distributors of any benevolent fund or funds which may be contributed by members or others to make any contribution to any such fund or funds out of income or assets of the Association.
  • To provide for the welfare of the persons in the employment of the Association or formally engaged in any business acquired by the Association and the wives, widows and family of such persons by grants of money pensions or other payments.
  • To promote and encourage provision by the members against the contingencies of age, sickness, misfortune, and death, and to assist financially or otherwise, towards such provision.
  • To provide or subscribe towards places of instructions, recreation and hospitals, dispensaries, medical and other attendances as the Association shall think fit
  • To purchase, take on lease, rent, build, erect, alter, construct or otherwise acquire any immovable and movable property including land, estates, houses, offices, factories, workshops, warehouses, stores, go- downs, garages, sheds, and other buildings, meeting places, libraries, lecture and reading rooms and places for social and entertainment purposes or any other place for the advancement of the above objectives or any of them
  • To promote and foster education and training in the business of insurance in general and employees liability, fidelity guarantee, third party, burglary or theft, fire, life, marine, and vehicle in particular including mortgage or other investment insurance or any of them and to transact as agents all or any other business related thereto.
  • To lend or advance money to members and other persons on securities of all description whether real or personal and to grant loans upon mortgage of any land, buildings, and heredetaments. The loan is interest free and must be repaid within three months; failure to meet this timeline will attract an interest of 5% per month.
  • To issue and deposit any security which the Association has power to issue by way of mortgage to secure any sum of money or by way of security for the performance of any contracts or obligations of the Association or its members.
  • To borrow or raise money in such manner as the Association shall think fit and to secure the repayment of any money borrowed, raised or owing by mortgage, charge or lien the whole or any part of the company's property or assets.
  • To invest and deal with any money of the Association not immediately required for the purpose of its business in such investment or securities as may be thought expedient.
  • To acquire by subscription , purchase or otherwise and to accept and take, hold, sell shares, stock in any Company society or undertaking the objects of which shall either in whole or in part be similar to those in this Association or such as may be likely to promote or advance the interest of this Association.
  • To establish, promote or otherwise assist any company or companies or bodies for the purpose of furthering any of the objects of this Association
  • To remunerate any person, firm or company for rendering services to this Association.
  • To establish branches and agencies in Uganda and elsewhere in any part of the world and to regulate and discontinue the same and to act as agents, brokers or factors for any person or body Corporate or incorporate.
  • To promote and maintain good and cordial relations with other Associations or professional bodies in Uganda and in any part of the world.
  • To regulate the conduct of members for the public benefit and to set guidelines and make rules and regulations relating to the remuneration and fees for the members professional work and their discipline.
  • To make available to the public the expertise of the members and to assist and protect the public in all matters touching, ancillary or incidental to Engineering valuation and loss assessment]adjusting.
